How can I edit or remove the information I've provided to MSN?

Visit the Personal Information Center.  From there you can choose how we store your information by signing into MSN sites with a Microsoft Passport.  The "Center" will allow you to choose what information you wish to manage.  Just follow these five easy steps:

1. Enter the "Center"
2. Click on "manage your information"
3. Log into the site using your Microsoft Passport
4. Choose the service or benefit you want to manage then edit or delete specific information.
5. If you choose delete, you must read and accept the warnings before proceeding.

If you don't use a Microsoft Passport, you can delete certain cookies and/or disable the "cookie" feature in your Web browser, but you will then lose access to personalization features.

Why does the site tell me that I must be signed into Passport?

It's important to Microsoft to help its customers retain their privacy when they take advantage of all the Internet has to offer.  A Microsoft Passport gives you password protection for all of your personal information. If you don't have a Passport, you can sign up for one here.

Is my information safe with MSN?

Microsoft values having you as a customer, and we are committed to keeping you in charge of the information you provide to us while using MSN products and services. In accordance with fair information principles and practices, we provide customers with notice, choice, access and security in regards to personal information. We are also committed to enforcement of our privacy policies through participation in the TRUSTe privacy seal program.

You can choose how we store your information by signing into MSN sites with a Microsoft Passport. By using a Microsoft Passport, you, and only you, can view, edit or delete your personal information.

What is the difference between storing my information with a Passport or in a cookie?

By using a Microsoft Passport, you, and only you, can view, edit or delete your personal information.  A Microsoft Passport gives you password protection for all of your personal information.  If you choose not to maintain password protection with a Passport, the information you provide to us is stored in a cookie and may be accessible to anyone else using the same computer.
